How do I look after my Tattoo?

    • After your tattoo session, leave the cling wrap on for approximately 1 hour, extending up to 4 hours if necessary or until you reach home.
    • When removing the wrap, delicately cleanse the tattoo with warm, soapy water, preferably using a medicated soap. (E.g. Dettol Sapoderm) Gently wash with the palm of your hand until all residue is removed.
    • After washing with warm soapy water, rinse the tattooed area with cold water to soothe and close the pores.
    • Once thoroughly cleaned and rinsed, pat dry using a clean paper towel or cloth. Allow it to air dry for a few minutes until completely dry.
    • For the initial 48 hours after getting your tattoo, refrain from applying any aftercare products.
    • After the initial 48 hours, apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare product with clean hands. (Brands we recommend are Dr. Pickle, Bepanthen Tattoo Aftercare, or Lucas' Papaw Ointment Online)
    • Ensure the tattooed area is washed before applying the aftercare product. We recommend applying it twice a day (morning and night) for 14 days.

    Helpful Tips:

    • Use a professional tattoo aftercare product consistently for 14 days following your tattoo session.
    • If you experience any irritation under or around the second skin, discontinue its use.
    • It's crucial to use a professional tattoo aftercare product; using moisturizing creams or lotions may harm the skin or the tattoo.
    • Maintain cleanliness and sterility with your aftercare products (avoid double dipping).
    • Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo until at least 14 days after healing.
    • Refrain from swimming or soaking your tattoo in water (pools, baths, beach, saunas).
    • Resist the urge to pick at or scratch your tattoo during the healing process.
    • Days 3 to 5 may bring itchiness, which is normal and indicates healing. Avoid scratching or picking at the tattoo.
    • Remember, your tattoo heals mostly from within; a healthy diet and good sleep are recommended for optimal healing.

Wishing you the best with your new tattoo! Happy healing!

    GET IN TOUCH
  • PIERCINGS

After receiving your piercing, your piercer will advise you on the duration of the cleaning regimen, typically within a 2-8 week period. Once you've completed the initial healing stage, feel free to schedule a follow-up appointment or return to have your jewellery downsized.

    Aftercare:

    • Clean your piercing with soap and warm water only. This helps remove any blood and plasma naturally produced by your body.
    • With clean hands, use a soapy water solution to clean the front and back of your piercing and jewellery at least once a day, preferably twice daily.
    • Don't hesitate to remove any dried blood or plasma that accumulates overnight or during the day.
    • After cleaning with soap and water, apply 1-2 drops of our aftercare solution to the front and back of the piercing holes.

    Things to Avoid:

    • Do not twist, turn or rotate the jewellery.
    • Avoid swimming for the first two weeks after getting pierced. If swimming is necessary, cover the piercing with a waterproof Band-Aid and clean it afterward as instructed initially.
    • Do not remove the jewellery during the healing process, as the piercing hole may close immediately, making reinsertion difficult. If jewellery change is necessary, seek assistance from a professional body piercer.
    • Avoid using products like Dettol, Betadine, hydrogen peroxide, disinfectants, soaps, tea tree oil and alcohol for cleaning, as they may dry out, irritate or burn the pierced area.
    • Refrain from using personal care products such as makeup, body lotion and perfumes on or around the piercing.

    Normal Healing Process:

    • Some discharge or secretions around the jewellery and piercing are normal, as it indicates the body's natural defence system at work. Any scabs or dried discharge can be washed away with regular use of soap and water.
    • The skin may stick to the jewellery temporarily, but it will dislodge once the outer layer of skin around the piercing has healed.
    • A slight swelling is normal, provided the jewellery doesn't sink into the skin. We initially use larger jewellery to accommodate potential swelling.
    • Some minor discomfort or pain may occur during the healing process.

Please Note: Infections can occur even with the strictest adherence to aftercare. If you notice any changes in your piercing, please visit us or your nearest piercing store as soon as possible. Following all aftercare instructions significantly reduces the chances of infection.

    REACH OUT
  • LASER

    Initial Healing Process:

    • Initially, the laser tattoo removal treatment may create a superficial wound and some clients may experience bruising or swelling. Many clients may then develop blisters, crusts or scabs within 12-72 hours, which may last for 1-2 weeks or more. This is all part of the healing process.

    Instructions:

    • After 3 hours, delicately remove the bandage and cleanse the treated area with warm water and a mild soap during showering. Gently pat the area dry.
    • Apply a small amount of anti-bacterial or chafing powder as needed.
    • If blistering occurs, refrain from intentionally popping or disturbing the blister. Keep blisters covered with a sterile dressing if they are in an area prone to rubbing or discomfort.
    • It's normal for some of the tattoo colour to emerge with the blistering process.

    Precautions:

    • Avoid exposure to sunlight, tanning booths or using tanning products until the area is fully healed (at least 30 days).
    • If exposure to direct sunlight is unavoidable, apply sunscreen with SPF 30+ for at least 3 months following the treatment.
    • Do not soak the treated area in bath tubs, spas or swimming pools while it is in the healing phase. Showers are permissible.

Find Out More
  • Are family or friends allowed to accompany me to my appointment?

We aim to create a welcoming environment at our studio, but it's important to remember that our space primarily serves as a creative co-working environment for our artists. We kindly ask that you check with your artist(s) beforehand to ensure that having your friend present is feasible given the circumstances.

If your friend does join you, they are more than welcome to stay until the start of your session. However, once the session begins, we kindly request that they either wait for you in our designated waiting area or step out of the studio. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • How do I make an appointment?

The most convenient way to schedule an appointment with us is through our Facebook page, using the "Message Us" feature, our website, email, or by visiting us directly for a consultation and booking on the spot.

For a streamlined process, we recommend visiting us directly for a consultation. This allows us to address all details in one meeting. If you prefer to speak with a specific artist, please inform us in advance, as our artists have varying schedules throughout the week.

Once all appointment details are confirmed, we kindly request a deposit to secure your booking with the artist. Your deposit will be held until the conclusion of your tattoo appointment, at which point it will be deducted from your total cost.

Please be aware that we have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. Failure to cancel within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

  • Do you accept walk-ins?

Absolutely! Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. However, please note that we can only assist you if an artist is available at the time of your arrival. To secure a spot, we highly recommend scheduling an appointment in advance.

If you're visiting from out of town or passing through the area and wish to walk in, we recommend contacting our studio ahead of time to check for artist availability.

  • How old do I have to be?

    TATTOO

Our studio strictly adheres to the legal requirement that individuals must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tattoo. Proof of age may be requested by our studio if there is any uncertainty about a client's age.

It is important to note that tattooing individuals under the age of 18, even with parental or guardian consent, is illegal.

    PIERCINGS

If you are under 16 years old, you will need a parental consent form for all types of piercings. Additionally, in Queensland, evidence of a parent or guardian on a Medicare card is necessary.

For individuals aged 16 to 18, most piercings can be obtained without the presence of a parent or guardian, except for piercings on genitals, nipples and cheeks.

If you are over 18, you are free to get any piercing of your choice.

For all piercings, you will need to present photo identification showing your date of birth.
